Call to Worship — World Communion Sunday
Luke 22:14–20 | “Who Is He and What Is He to You?”
Leader: Jesus said, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you.” Today, Christ still invites us to the Table.
People: We come because we know who He is—and what He means to us!
Leader: Around the world, in many places and among many people, God’s people gather around one Table.
People: Many places, many people—but one Lord, one faith, one Table!
Leader: Jesus took bread, gave thanks, broke it, and said, “This is my body, given for you.”
People: He is our Savior, and we remember His love!
Leader: Jesus took the cup and declared a new covenant, sealed in His blood.
People: He is our Redeemer, and we receive His grace!
Leader: At this Table, we remember not only what Jesus did, but who He is and what He is to us.
People: He is our hope, our strength, our peace, and our salvation!
ALL: One bread! One cup! One body! One Lord! Let us worship God together!

Scripture
Dr. Jackson — Luke 22:14–20
14 When the hour came, he took his place at the table, and the apostles with him. 15 He said to them, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer, 16 for I tell you, I will not eat it [a] until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.” 17 Then he took a cup, and after giving thanks he said, “Take this and divide it among yourselves, 18 for I tell you that from now on I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.” 19 Then he took a loaf of bread, and when he had given thanks he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” 20 And he did the same with the cup after supper, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood. [b]”
