The Christian Methodist Episcopal Church is a connectional church rooted in the Wesleyan tradition and committed to making disciples of Jesus Christ. Founded in 1870 by formerly enslaved people, the CME Church carries a legacy of spiritual courage, education, justice, and compassionate ministry.
As a CME congregation, Carter Metropolitan joins a wider family of churches working together to proclaim the gospel, strengthen communities, and live out the love of Christ in practical ways.
About Pastor Vee
Leading with a courageous faith and a generous heart.
A native of Detroit, Michigan, Dr. Vee is a gifted preacher, scholar, author, musician, and community leader. She holds degrees from Wayne State University, Southern Connecticut State University, Houston Graduate School of Theology, and Wesley Theological Seminary, where she earned her Doctor of Ministry.
An ordained elder in the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, she serves as Pastor of the historic Carter Metropolitan CME Church in Fort Worth, Texas. Dr. Vee is the founder of Veeencouraged Ministries, a nationally recognized leader in music and arts ministry, a published author, and a passionate advocate for faith, justice, and community empowerment.
